About Hataitai After School

hasci hasci

Children not only enjoy our OSCAR-approved after school programme, but they thrive. The activities your child will enjoy includes arts and crafts, outdoor activities, movies on wet days, and more. We’ll also provide your child with a well-balanced afternoon tea.

Our programme is available for children at Hataitai School and can be used on a regular or casual basis.

Our full name is Hataitai After School Care Incorporated, or HASCI for short, and we have a strong connection and relationship with Hataitai School – a connection and relationship that we are very proud of.

School Holiday Programme

In addition to our term-time after school programme, we also offer a school holiday programme here at Hataitai After School Care. Your children will enjoy activities and daily themes in a safe and caring environment.

Our Caregivers

Meet the Team

More information about the individuals on our team is below, but they are all passionate and committed to providing the best possible care for every child who attends our programmes. Plus, with one carer to every 10 children policy, your child will get the attention and care they need.

  • Kia Ora, I’m Ashleigh from Wales.

I am the program manager at HASCI. I really enjoy my job at after school care because the community of Hataitai is so welcoming and I try to represent this at our program.

I have eight years of experience working in numerous childcare and sports coaching settings and love putting my experience and energy into everything we do at after school care.

  • Hello,

My name is Bram Holyoake. I am in my third year of study at Victoria University’s law school.

Law school is very difficult and, do not tell my lecturers this, a tad boring at times. Working with kids inspires the kid in me and allows me to have fun. That is why I wanted to work at HASCI, and why I enjoy what I do.

Bram

Our Values

HASCI actively promotes core values in line with those used by Hataitai School. When we are at after school care or participating in school holiday programmes all children and caregivers are encouraged show respect through:

• Mana – respect for ourselves
• Manaaki – respect for others
• Taiao – respect for the environment

With the support of Hataitai School & Board we serve the Hataitai School community and operate onsite, from the Hataitai School Hall. Hataitai School promotes HASCI services to students and we continue to enjoy a close relationship with Hataitai School.
