About Hataitai After School

hasci hasci

Our full name is Hataitai After School Care Incorporated or HASCI for short.

HASCI operates as a not-for-profit incorporated society, offering an OSCAR-approved after school programme for Hataitai School pupils as well as a school holiday programme open to all children in the local community.

We operate from Hataitai Community Centre grounds and enjoy a  strong relationship with Hataitai School – a connection that we are very proud of.

Our programme manager, Ashleigh, manages the daily operation of HASCI, with casual staff assisting as required.  A committee of volunteer parents forms the HASCI Committee, providing oversight and support.

HASCI – Change of Location

HASCI will be temporarily relocated at Hataitai Community House and Former Bowling Club from Tuesday 8th February until further notice.

Our Values

HASCI actively promotes core values in line with those used by Hataitai School. When we are at after school care or participating in school holiday programmes all children and caregivers are encouraged show respect through:

• Mana – respect for ourselves
• Manaaki – respect for others
• Taiao – respect for the environment

With the support of Hataitai School & Board we serve the Hataitai School community and operate onsite, from the Hataitai School Hall. Hataitai School promotes HASCI services to students and we continue to enjoy a close relationship with Hataitai School.
